Oh shit, I've got a baby

Parenthood is such a tricky experience to navigate. You are simultaneously coping with physical recovery (if you are a birthing parent), big physiological changes, routines and life being turned upside down, keeping a human alive, trying to maintain a relationship when you are significantly  sleep deprived, eat, survive the inherent dysregulation of caring for a baby and navigating life changing identity shifts: it’s a LOT.

While we don’t claim to have magic answers, sleep cures or know how to care for all babies, we hope through this series of workshops, we will give you a sense of grace, space and kindness.

We will cover a mixture of taught content, psychoeducation, experiential exercises and reflective space, the below themes:

- Matrescence and Patrescence: physiological and psychological changes

- Parenthood narratives and what might be taking shape in your family

- What do babies need, and understanding bonding

- Self-care through the postnatal period

- Parenting in the context of societal pressure

Please note this is a workshop series and will run for 1hr for 4 weeks, starting on Saturday 26th September 2026.

You can book all 4 sessions for £300 or book individually for £75 each- please contact us via our Instagram or email admin@thecompassioncollab.co.uk if you would like to learn more.
